Professional Referral Guidelines
These guidelines describe how referrals may be made to my services through selected professionals and organizations. The intention is to provide an additional access pathway for individuals who may benefit from my services while maintaining flexibility for both the Professional Referrer and me.
The following document is for the Referred Client:
Definition of terminologies are provided at the end of the document.
Nature of Support
I help people become the designers of their personal operating systems by studying the patterns that shape their lives. These patterns often include their behavior, assumptions, interests, thought processes, environments, and workflows. The process is often reflective, experiential, and adaptive, rather than prescriptive, theoretical, and situationally-specific.
Support may include (1) reflective coaching conversations, (2) Co-Scheduling exercises, (3) project-related guidance, and (4) other developmental non-clinical approaches where appropriate and mutually agreed upon. Such support do not constitute therapy, treatment, diagnosis, or other licensed professional services.
Suitable Referral Situations
Situation 1. An individual would benefit from support in:
- Gaining clarity in priorities and decision making
- Navigating career transition in technical fields
- Planning and execution
- Overcoming procrastination
- Smoothening task transitions
- Regulating attention and energy
- Shaping sustainable way of working
- Designing routines and habits
Situation 2. An individual is already receiving support from another professional and would benefit from complementary developmental support in:
- Completing homework from existing support
- Areas mentioned in Situation 1
Referral Process
- Professional Referrers may introduce an individual to my services and inform me of the referral.
- The Professional Referrer may provide the Referred Client with the engagement document linked at the beginning of this page.
- Upon verification with the Professional Referrer, the Referred Client may make an appointment with my services through the standard method for a free 30-minute discovery conversation.
Note that a referral does not guarantee engagement of my services. All referrals remain subject to (1) mutual fit, (2) availability of Referral Access Places, (3) client readiness, and (4) prevailing engagement terms.
Availability of Referral Access Places may vary over time. When no Referral Access Places are available, Referred Clients may:
- Option 1: Join a waiting list.
- Option 2: Engage at the Standard Rate, if they wish to proceed immediately. Professional Referrers may continue making referrals regardless of the availability of Referral Access Places.
Confidentiality
Referrals do not automatically create information-sharing arrangements between me and the Professional Referrer. Information will not be shared with the Professional Referrer unless the Referred Client has provided written consent.
Information shared during sessions will be treated as confidential, except where disclosure may be required by law or where there are serious concerns relating to safety.
Review and Changes
Either party may discontinue participation in this referral pathway at any time through explicit communication.
I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Referral Access Places, Referral Access Rates, eligibility considerations, and related arrangements at any time.
